KAR™: Kollector Authenticity Registry
KAR™ means Kollector Authenticity Registry. The current project brings KUKUK Signature™, Molecular Signature™ and Signature Twin™ together in a shared data and registry structure. Its purpose is to connect the physical vehicle, the professionally accountable finding and released digital evidence across borders.
KUKUK remains responsible for independent engineering and expert services. Inspection, authentication and professional evaluation are performed by the responsible specialists. Digital systems are used only to store, structure and present released data.

From KUKUK Signature™ to KAR™
| Layer | Purpose | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| KUKUK Signature™ | Connects inspection scope, finding, source, date and responsibility in a traceable evidence layer | Applies only to the inspected scope and documented date |
| Molecular Signature™ | Describes material, paint layers, repair traces, aging and surviving or later substance | A single measurement does not explain the complete vehicle history |
| Signature Twin™ | Presents released findings, events and relationships in a digital vehicle context | Does not replace physical inspection or human expert judgment |
| KAR™ | Connects the layers as the current registry and infrastructure project | Does not automatically publish confidential evidence or make authenticity decisions |
Development since 2024
- 2024
The project became part of KUKUK and was initially developed with KUKUK Signature™.
- Beginning of 2026
The combined development has operated under KAR™.
- Scientific development
According to KUKUK, the project is being developed with TH Köln, Gateway Köln and Hochschule Fresenius Köln.
- Current focus
A robust data structure, clear responsibility, controlled release and long term traceability of vehicle information.
Blockchain for data security and transparency
A technical focus of the scientific development is how blockchain technology may support data security, integrity, traceability and transparency. Documents, events, dates and permissions should remain connected so changes and provenance steps can be followed.
Blockchain does not establish that entered information is professionally correct or that a vehicle is authentic. The quality of a statement continues to depend on inspection, source review and human responsibility. The technology protects and structures data. It does not replace an appraisal.
Public information and protected evidence
A public vehicle overview may show released base data, images and the fact that an inspection was documented. Detailed measurements, owner information, confidential records, internal work papers and complete reports remain separate. Access must follow owner rights, assignment, purpose and explicit release. This page does not claim legal effect, certification or a fully operational blockchain function.
Short answers
What does KAR™ stand for?
KAR™ stands for Kollector Authenticity Registry. It connects KUKUK Signature™, Molecular Signature™ and Signature Twin™ in a shared data and registry structure.
When did the project begin?
It has been part of KUKUK since 2024 and was initially developed with KUKUK Signature™. The combined development has operated under KAR™ since the beginning of 2026.
Who is involved in the scientific development?
According to KUKUK, the development is carried out with TH Köln, Gateway Köln and Hochschule Fresenius Köln.
What is the role of blockchain?
The project examines how blockchain may support data security, integrity, traceability and transparency. It does not prove the professional correctness of a statement and does not replace an appraisal.
Do digital systems perform inspection or authentication?
No. Inspection, authentication and professional evaluation remain the responsibility of qualified people. Digital systems store, structure and present released data.
