Classic Car Authentication in Europe.

For significant collector cars, visual inspection and marque knowledge may not be enough. KUKUK combines document research, engineering analysis and forensic methods to test claims about identity, period, materials, originality and provenance.

01

Who is it for?

For collectors, museums, manufacturers, insurers, legal advisers, buyers and sellers who require independent evidence about a significant vehicle.

02

At what moment?

Before acquisition, sale, certification, exhibition or insurance placement, and whenever identity, production period, matching numbers, originality, restoration or provenance is uncertain.

03

What do we examine?

  • Chassis, engine and gearbox numbers and other stampings
  • Materials and alloys consistent with the stated period
  • Assemblies, body structures and repair evidence
  • Paint, material thickness, cavities and concealed structures
  • Documents, factory records, archives and provenance
  • Consistency of originality and claims about matching numbers
04

What do you receive?

You receive a reasoned expert report, documented findings or, where specifically agreed, certification. Findings, limitations and unresolved questions are kept clearly distinct.

05

How does KUKUK protect confidentiality?

Vehicle identity, ownership, location, documents and results remain within the agreed circle of recipients. KUKUK does not publish a case or identify a client without permission.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is classic car authentication?

Classic car authentication tests whether claims about identity, period, materials, assemblies, originality and history are supported by technical and documentary evidence.

Which forensic methods can KUKUK use?

Depending on the question, methods may include OES material analysis, 3D scanning, endoscopy, ultrasound, magnetooptical examination, Fry/Adler etching and radiographic analysis.

Can KUKUK inspect vehicles across Europe?

KUKUK works internationally. Availability, location, access and the required equipment are confirmed for each mandate.

Can authentication guarantee absolute authenticity?

No. A professional authentication assesses which claims are supported by the accessible technical and documentary evidence. Remaining limitations and uncertainty are stated in the findings.

What can material analysis establish?

Material analysis can support conclusions about composition and the possible period of an examined component. On its own, it cannot prove complete provenance or the originality of an entire vehicle.

How is confidentiality protected?

The scope, recipients and communication route are agreed before work begins. Vehicle locations, ownership information and findings remain within the authorised group.
